  • Ch = Chain(s)
  • Sc = single crochet
  • Dc = double crochet
  • sl st = slip stitch
  • st = stitch
  • Hdc stands for half double crochet.

  • Slip knot, start with double the foot measurement, in this case 10cm, so start with ch50 (20 cm).
  • Hdc in second chain from hook, hdc in following chain, hdc across chains, ch2, turn.
  • Hdc across row, ch2, turn
  • Repeat preceding row until you reach 5.5 cm in height, then ch1 and turn.
  • Divide the item into three pieces, place a stitch marker after 10 stitches, skip 30 stitches, and place another stitch marker.
  • Sl st across to the first marker, ch4, skip next st, dc in next st, *ch1, skip next st, dc in next st*, repeat * through to the second marker, ch1, turn.
  • Sc in first ch-1 space, sc in next dc, *sc in next ch-1 space, sc in next dc*, repeat * across row, ch1, turn.
  • Sc across the row, finishing with a long tail for stitching.
  • Fold the item in half, sew across the side of the previous three rows, the unworked stitch, and the bottom of the shoe, fasten off, and weave in all ends.
  • Repeat with the second pair of crochet baby shoes.
