Crochet Monkey Amigurumi
Materials and tools
- Yarn: Yarnart Jeans, colours: black (53), light grey (46), dark grey (28), orange (85), white (03), yellow (88). Small quantity of white thin fluffy yarn (mohair, angora). Size of the toy made with this yarn is about 18 cm.
- Crochet hook according to your yarn (I used Clover 1,75).
- Yarn needle, sewing needle.
- Brown thread for embroidering nose and eyebrows.
- Button eyes diameter 5 mm, sewing thread of black colour to sew the eyes.
- Poliester fiberfill.
Work in continuos rounds unless otherwise instructed

Tail
Start with white colour.
- 1 rnd: 6 sc in MR
- 2-7 rnds: 6 sc (6 rnds)
Change to light grey.
- 8-35 rnds: 6 sc (28 rnds)
Don’t stuff. Fasten off, cut the yarn leaving a long tail for sewing.
Assembling
Sew the head and body together. While sewing, stuff the neck with fiberfill. Sew the arms to the body on round 20. Sew the legs all the way around it.
Fix pins around the face’s border and place it on the head below the circular g of the head.
On round 12 of the head, sew on the ears. Prepare white mohair yarn cuttings (length is approximately 8 cm). Attach these cuts around the face in the manner illustrated in the image below.
Remove the pins. Sew on the face to conceal the connecting points. Sew the muzzle on. Make the mohair yarn shorter by cutting it.
Sew the tail around round 6 of the body at the center of the back. Embellish the nose and mouth.
Sew the eyes onto the face between rounds 4 and 5. To make the sewing procedure easier, use a tapestry needle or reverse hook end to expand the holes where the eyes are sewed.
Embroider the brows and the whites of the eyes.
