  • Clover Key Ring Markers,
  • Stainless Steel Sewing Scissors,
  • Blocking Mat for Knitting
  • And this amazing Handheld Steamer.

First Material:

To make this crochet woven bag, you only need 4 mm crochet hooks, any acrylic cord (3 mm thick), flexible frame (20 cm) or magnetic buttons, shoulder strap with 2 hangers, 2 rings.

Abbreviation:

  • Chain = Ch
  • Stitch = St
  • Back loop only = BLO
  • Slip stitch = sl st
  • Making a Crochet Woven Bag Pattern

The first step:

  • Slip knots, starting at chain 43.
  • Working in chain rear pump, sl st to 2nd ch of hook, sl st across chain, ch1, turn. [42]
  • Works in BLO, sl st in row, ch1, rotate. [42]
  • Repeat the previous row 7 more times, ch44.
  • Working in chain rear pump, sl st to 2nd ch of hook, sl st across chain, ch1, turn. [42]
  • Works in BLO, sl st in row, ch1, rotate. [42]
  • Repeat the previous row 7 more times, ch44.
  • Repeat the previous 3 steps 3 more times. (5 strips connected together)

Second step: (create 3)

  • Slip knots, starting at chain 71.
  • Working in chain rear pump, sl st to 2nd ch of hook, sl st across chain, ch1, turn. [70]
  • Works in BLO, sl st in row, ch1, rotate. [70]
  • Repeat the previous row 7 more times, tighten, leaving 15cm of tail for later use.
    • Using a tail of thread and with a rug needle, sew the two ends together.
    • Spread the mounted strips on the table.
    • Get one of the second strips and interlace the strips in a staggered order.
    • Repeat for the other two strips.
    • Use the remaining part of the connected strip, and wrap around the back of the second strip in staggered order.
    • Tie the ends to the strip using a marker.
    • Use the yarn in the first strip, sl st in to connect the two ends together.
    • If you’re going to use a flex frame, sc across the frame until it’s not visible, here we made 72.
    • Sl st between the top seam of the bag and the seam of the frame, fasten, tie at all ends.
    • If you are going to use magnetic buttons, continue working from the last row of sl st, ch1, sl st across the loop, repeat for 5 turns, tighten, tie the ends.
    • Sew a magnetic button to the center of the bag inside.
